چکیده
Korea produced cattle manure has high energy potential due to its solids content, including sawdust. However, it is difficult use sawdust as a raw material for anaerobic digestion content of non-degradable organic materials. This study used hydrothermal carbonization, one the hydrolysis processes, analyze effect improving methane production efficiency through carbonization using livestock sludge material. The reaction was carried out under temperature conditions 160, 180, 200 and 220°C. As result study, biochemical potentials at 220°C were 0.092, 0.145, 0.206 0.245 Nm3/kg-VSadded. increase in hydrocarbonization reduces matter that can be converted into during process, obtained 1 ton when ADSC hydrocarbonized 3.08, 4.80, 6.49, 6.28 Nm3/ton-ADSC, highest 200°C.

Industrial symbiosis: corn ethanol fermentation, hydrothermal carbonization, and anaerobic digestion.
The production of dry-grind corn ethanol results in the generation of intermediate products, thin and whole stillage, which require energy-intensive downstream processing for conversion into commercial animal feed products. Hydrothermal carbonization of thin and whole stillage coupled with anaerobic digestion was investigated as alternative processing methods that could benefit the industry. By...
متن کاملEvaluation of Integrated Anaerobic Digestion and Hydrothermal Carbonization for Bioenergy Production
Lignocellulosic biomass is one of the most abundant yet underutilized renewable energy resources. Both anaerobic digestion (AD) and hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) are promising technologies for bioenergy production from biomass in terms of biogas and HTC biochar, respectively. In this study, the combination of AD and HTC is proposed to increase overall bioenergy production. Wheat straw was an...
متن کاملHydrothermal carbonization of municipal waste streams.
Hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) is a novel thermal conversion process that can be used to convert municipal waste streams into sterilized, value-added hydrochar. HTC has been mostly applied and studied on a limited number of feedstocks, ranging from pure substances to slightly more complex biomass such as wood, with an emphasis on nanostructure generation. There has been little work exploring ...
متن کاملCharacterization of hydrochars produced by hydrothermal carbonization of rice husk
Biochar is the carbon-rich product obtained when biomass, such as wood, manure or leaves, is heated in a closed container with little or no available air. In more technical terms, biochar is produced by so-called thermal decomposition of organic material under limited supply of oxygen (O2), and at relatively low temperatures (< 700 C). Hydrochar differentiates from biochar because it is produce...
متن کاملEnergy Recovery Efficiency of Poultry Slaughterhouse Sludge Cake by Hydrothermal Carbonization
Hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) is a promising technology used for bioenergy conversion from bio-wastes such as sewage sludge, livestock manure, and food waste. To determine the optimum HTC reaction temperature in maximizing the gross energy recovery efficiency of poultry slaughterhouse sludge cake, a pilot-scale HTC reactor was designed and operated under reaction temperatures of 170, 180, 19...
